Fat Freezing Vs SculSpure

Body Contouring Cynosure

As we know, even with persistent diet and exercise many patients still suffer from stubborn pockets of fat that just do not want to budge. In the past, surgeons have been limited to performing invasive surgeries to effectively treat these issues, leaving patients in pain and with extended recovery periods before being able to see results.

With numerous non-invasive techniques available to patients which claim to deliver superior results for treating areas of unwanted fat, deciding on which treatment is best for your clinic is not always easy. Our non-invasive fat reduction technology, Sculpsure has been clinically proven to reduce the number of fat cells in the treated area in short 25-minute treatment sessions

Unlike fat freezing technologies which work by removing heat from fat cells and damaging the cells structural integrity, SculpSure heats and destroys these cells, which can then be naturally processed by the patient’s body. Whilst both technologies both provide results, SculpSure has significant advantages over fat freezing alternatives.

SculpSure is able to customise treatments to provide the best results for patients. By treating multiple anatomical areas in sessions lasting as little as 25 minutes, this technology provides a flexibility that is desirable for clinics. Fat freezing technologies are often limited by how much fat can be suctioned into the applicator and require more lengthy treatments, up to 60 minutes.

In terms of patient comfort, fat freezing suction applicators freeze and numb treated areas, leaving behind pockets of frozen tissue which must be massaged post treatment. This is often extremely uncomfortable for patients and can lead to side effect such as bruising, extended numbness, itching and more serious concerns such as delayed pain, hernias and paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. SculpSure utilises Contact Cooling ™ technology to keep the skin comfortable during treatment, with mild side effects such as tenderness only temporary in nature.

Results from both treatments can be seen within 6-8 weeks post treatment, however these results may vary significantly. SculpSure’s process of feathering heat provides the most natural looking results, which has seen clinical satisfaction rates from 83% to 100%. Fat freezing technology has seen reported cases of unevenness in treatment areas leading to lower (73%-93%) patient satisfaction rates.
